A retired soldier and former Prime Minister, Embalo prides himself as “a master strategist.”

He has ruled Guinea-Bissau with authoritarian impunity from 2020, suppressing opposition, sacking the Parliament at will, manipulating appointments to the judiciary & the electoral process in blatant violation of ECOWAS protocols without consequences.

The 26 November coup, which he fabricated, the 4th during his odious regime is the latest in his play book for self-perpetuation in power.

ECOWAS & the int’l community must not allow his latest travesty to stand. The winner of the 23 November presidential election must be declared & inaugurated and Embalo bundled to the Hague for trial should he continue to resist!
